Empowered Souls

Mindful Movement • Self-Regulation • Social Connection • Sound

Helping young minds move, breathe, connect and discover their own inner tools.

Empowered Souls is a supportive, sensory-aware program created for children and teens. Through mindful movement, meditation, sound and social-emotional activities, students are introduced to practical tools that encourage self-awareness, confidence, communication and self-regulation.

Every student is invited to participate in a way that feels comfortable and appropriate for them. We focus on creating a welcoming environment where students can explore, learn, connect and simply be themselves.

What Is Empowered Souls?

Empowered Souls brings together mindful movement, mindfulness, social-emotional learning and sound exploration in an engaging and supportive environment.

Each class introduces a different skill or theme that students can begin incorporating into their everyday lives.

Rather than expecting every student to participate in the same way, Empowered Souls embraces individual differences and provides opportunities for students to learn through movement, stillness, sound, conversation and sensory exploration.

What We Explore

Mindful Movement

Movement is used as a way to develop body awareness, coordination, balance and confidence. Students may explore:

  • Gentle yoga and stretching

  • Balance and coordination

  • Body awareness

  • Mindful movement

  • Movement and rhythm

  • Learning to notice how the body feels

Mindfulness + Meditation

Students are introduced to simple, age-appropriate mindfulness practices that they can use both inside and outside the classroom. We explore:

  • Breathing techniques

  • Grounding exercises

  • Guided meditation

  • Visualization

  • Focus and attention

  • Recognizing physical sensations and emotions

  • Tools for calming and self-regulation

Social + Emotional Skills

Through guided activities and peer interaction, students have opportunities to practice important social and emotional skills. We may explore:

  • Communication

  • Listening

  • Taking turns

  • Cooperation

  • Personal space and boundaries

  • Identifying and expressing emotions

  • Understanding different perspectives

  • Building confidence and self-expression

Sound + Sensory Exploration

Sound becomes another way for students to explore mindfulness and sensory awareness.

Using instruments such as crystal singing bowls, chimes, rhythm instruments and other gentle sounds, students can explore listening, vibration, rhythm and relaxation.

Sound activities may include both active exploration and quiet listening, allowing students to discover how different sounds feel and how they can be incorporated into mindfulness and relaxation practices.

What Skills Can Students Develop?

  • Body Awareness
Learning to notice movement, physical sensations, and signals from the body.

  • Self-Regulation
Building a collection of breathing, movement, grounding, and mindfulness tools.

Recognizing emotions and exploring healthy ways to express and navigate them.

  • Communication
Practicing listening, expressing needs, taking turns, and connecting with others.

What Does A Class Look Like?

Each class follows a familiar rhythm to provide consistency and predictability while allowing flexibility for individual needs.

  • Welcome + Check-In
A gentle transition into the class and an opportunity to notice how we are feeling.

  • Mindful Movement
Movement, stretching, yoga, balance, or rhythm-based activities.

  • Skill of the Week
A specific social-emotional, mindfulness, or self-regulation skill is introduced.

  • Mindfulness Practice
Breathing, grounding, visualization, or a short guided meditation.

  • Sound + Sensory Exploration
An opportunity to explore sound, vibration, rhythm, and listening.

  • Peer Connection
A simple activity that encourages communication, cooperation, or social interaction.

  • Closing Reflection
Students are invited to notice what they experienced and identify a tool they can take with them.

A Space Where Every Student Can Participate in Their Own Way

We recognize that students have different communication styles, sensory needs, comfort levels and ways of engaging.

Participation is flexible. Students are not required to:

  • Sit perfectly still

  • Close their eyes

  • Make eye contact

  • Speak in front of the group

  • Participate in every activity

  • Participate in the same way as their peers

Instead, students are offered choices and opportunities to engage in ways that feel safe and appropriate for them.

The goal isn't to make everyone participate the same way.

The goal is to help each student discover tools that work for them.

Building an Empowered Soul Toolbox

Throughout the program, students are introduced to different tools they can begin using in their everyday lives. Their toolbox may include:

  • Breath

  • Grounding

  • Movement

  • Mindfulness

  • Emotional Awareness

  • Sound

  • Communication

  • Self-Expression

Over time, students can begin to recognize which tools help them feel more focused, grounded, connected or calm.

Who is Empowered Souls For?

Client praise

Amber is a great yoga teacher, especially for beginners. I've brought my husband & daughter and they both have enjoyed her classes as well. Her studio is very clean & the ambiance really sets your mood where it needs to be. It's casual, friendly & welcoming. I've had 2 knee surgeries & she works with me on alternative options as well. I always feel relaxed after her class & highly recommend it.

Amber has taught our teen daughter how great it is to be relaxed. She learned the correct yoga poses and takes her time to explain every pose and correct each student to have the right posture to prevent injury and to focus on their breath. Her place is absolutely gorgeous bringing you inspiration and calmness the moment you enter. I can't thank you enough on how much love she has created in our daughter's heart with yoga with calm, peace, good energy, relaxation and healthy habits for today and in her future. Thank you dear Amber!

I highly recommend Amber. The location is peaceful and lovely. It's so nice to get away from the big studios or gyms to a small personal space for yoga. Amber has wonderful healing and rejuvenating energy!
